ABOUT STEFAN:
I, Stefan Ullrich, came to diving 1993 about the thought to leave Germany. Born in Duisburg / Germany I accomplished my CMAS* education with the “German life guards” in Moers in 9 month !!!! With my experience in cold, dark, lakes with zero visibility, I arrived in Sept.94 in Dominican Republic and dropped myself the first time in Caribbean sea – warm water – perfect visibility, fish and colors ……and it was happened about me!

I stayed at the north coast, at Sosua, and I got convinced to do farther educations up to Dive master. With my first experience as a dive master, I kept working in the same dive centre as an instructor, which I accomplished in Essen / Germany in September 95, and collected my first, important experience with beginners. After four years in Dominican Republic, I came the first time to Mexico in autumn 98, and about my best friend, who guided at this time already “Cenote” dives, thus the first time to “Chac Mool” – ABSOLUTELY GREAT !!!!!!!!!!

I felt absolutely in love and I never could forget that dive (obviously there followed a few more dives in different other cenotes)

After a short time as diving instructor in Playa del Carmen, I got the travel fever and wanted to see more of the world.

My farther Instructor destinations were the Maldive islands, Red Sea, different cruise ships and finally since sept. 03 , Mexico again!

About my last experiences as a base leader and manager of dive centers, I got relatively quick a job in Playa del Carmen as a base leader again for a big dive center. I realized very soon, that this is exactly that, what I actually didn’t wanted, office desk, PC –stress and long working hours!

So I quit and after a short vacation I did my longed for Full cave course. How my fate was sealed, I got the opportunity to work for “Yucatek Divers” as a cavern guide.

During the recent years I got a real passion for the Cenotes and I can’t imagine to do something else, as showing divers the amazing visibility and light effects and I get on especial nice days still goose pimples, when I look out of the cavern against the sunlight and that confirms that I have got the best working place in the world!
